Physiotherapy
What is Physiotherapy?
Physiotherapy is a medical field that involves the diagnosis
and treatment of muscle and joint problems with the aim
at maximising mobility and quality of life.
Physiotherapy involves using a wide range of drug-free
techniques to manage/relieve pain, restore movement and
prevent further injury, these techniques include mobilisation
of the joints, soft tissue therapy, stretches and rehabilitation
exercises.
A doctors referral is not required to see a physiotherapist
and private health funds will provide a rebate for part
of the cost of the treatment sessions.
Benefits of Physiotherapy
- Quicker return to sport and work Improved performance
on the sporting field
- Reduction of pain Improved
activities of daily living
- Decrease the risk of re-injury

Why choose Petrozzi Physiotherapy?
The physiotherapist, Jennifer Edge has 9 years of experience
in exercise prescription and has an extensive background
in working with athletes from a wide variety of sports.
Each physiotherapy session is at least 30 minutes in
duration and is a one-on-one consultation. The treatment
sessions are based on a hands-on approach, with most
of the treatment consisting of joint mobilisations, soft
tissue therapy, strengthening exercises and stretching.
If you have sustained a sports or activity related injury,
the physiotherapist will assess the severity of the injury
and if needed will refer you to a specialist that will
assist you with your problem. A detailed treatment program
will be designed to ensure return to your sport or daily
activities as soon as possible and the program will include
stretches and exercises to prevent re-injury.
Work related injuries are common whether they are as
a result of a fall, repetitive computer related neck
pain or back pain due to lifting heavy objects or poor
posture at your desk. Petrozzi Health Physiotherapy will
assist you in returning to work with minimal risk of
re-injury.
